The Big Sleep Book Cover - December 2012
Uni brief following a Penguin Book Awards template - for the crime novel 'The Big Sleep.' The symbolism of the orchid is used as a representation of death/decay, relating to a quote early in the novel set in a greenhouse. The title's appearance as though it is written in a steamy breath on a cold window relates to the running theme of desire and corruption throughout the story, as well as looking fairly sinister as it obscures the view out of the window (and what's outside it) Drawn in pencil and inverted/edited in photoshop
